Bush (2004) 50.7%<br \/>\nGeorge H.W. Bush (1988) 53.4%<br \/>\nRonald Reagan (1984) 58.8%<\/p>\n<p><mark class=\"\" style=\"background-color: aliceblue;\">We have won with the most votes ever cast for a presidential ticket in the history of this nation \u2014 74 million.<\/mark><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_United_States_presidential_candidates_by_number_of_votes_received\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wikipedia<\/a> shows that with over 70 million <span class=\"\" style=\"white-space: nowrap;\">Donald Trump<\/span> received the second most votes ever cast for a presidential ticket.<\/p>\n<p><mark class=\"\" style=\"background-color: aliceblue;\">I am proud of the campaign we built and ran. I am proud of the coalition we put together, the broadest and most diverse in history. Democrats, Republicans and Independents. Progressives, moderates and conservatives. Young and old. Urban, suburban and rural. Gay, straight, transgender. White. Latino. Asian. Native American. And especially for those moments when this campaign was at its lowest \u2013 the African American community stood up again for me. They always have my back, and I\u2019ll have yours.\u201d<\/mark><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2020\/nov\/04\/latino-voters-joe-biden-support-hillary-clinton\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Guardian<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>In battleground states such as Florida and Texas, key communities with large Latino populations showed comparatively lukewarm enthusiasm for the Democratic presidential nominee,\u00a0Joe Biden, after overwhelmingly supporting Hillary Clinton four years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of election day,\u00a0<a class=\"u-underline\" href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2020\/05\/14\/joe-biden-latino-outreach-255282\" data-link-name=\"in body link\">activists, legislators and political operatives<\/a>\u00a0had warned the Biden campaign that it wasn\u2019t doing enough to woo Latino voters, a diverse and fundamental constituency for the Democratic party.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/nbcblk\/black-men-drifted-democrats-toward-trump-record-numbers-polls-show-n1246447\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NBC News<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Support for the Democratic presidential candidate reached a new low among Black men this year, according to the NBC News poll of early and Election Day voters.<\/p>\n<p>Eighty percent of Black men supported Joe Biden, down slightly from Hilary Clinton\u2019s 82 percent in 2016 but significantly down from Barack Obama\u2019s level of support among Black men in 2012 and 2008.<\/p>\n<p>In Obama\u2019s first presidential campaign, 95 percent of Black male voters and 96 percent of Black women chose him. Four years later, support from Black women remained at 96 percent for Obama\u2019s 2012 re-election, while the figure for Black men slid to 87 percent.<\/p>\n<p>In 2016, when the nominee was Hillary Clinton, Black men dropped further to 82 percent while Black women\u2019s support for Clinton remained high at 94 percent.
