It looks\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/interactive\/2022\/house-control-midterms-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">set to take control<\/a>\u00a0of the <span style=\"white-space: nowrap;\">U.S. Congress<\/span> in the midterm elections. If Trump, or a Trump-like clone, is elected in 2024, what is left of our democracy will likely be extinguished.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>We have a Democracy. This Democracy is in danger. If &lt;<em>insert condition here<\/em>&gt; happens at &lt;<em>definite point in time which as it is approached reliably advances further into the future<\/em>&gt;, Democracy will be gone.<\/p>\n<p>Unclear here whether Mike Pence is Democracy&#8217;s heroic savior or the Antichrist.
