A sample:<\/p>\n Here „occupying forces began to keep a register“ might more accurately read „occupying forces used the registers dutifully provided to them by Dutch civil authorities“, „occupying forces began to deport Jews to concentration camps, where many were murdered“ might be rephrased as „Dutch police, Dutch civil authorities and Dutch Jewish councils obeyed occupying forces to deport Jews to concentration camps, where 102,000 of 107,000 deportees were murdered“.
